Prominent Orientalist scholar Vasim Mammadaliyev
Vasim Mammadali oglu Mammadaliyev was born on 27 August 1942 in Baku. After graduating from high school, he entered the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Azerbaijan State University, where he received higher education in 1959-1964. In 1964, he entered the full-time postgraduate department of the university and was seconded to Tbilisi to continue his studies there. In 1967, he completed his postgraduate studies.

Language policy in Azerbaijan dates to the period of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. Until that time (either in the 19th century or especially in the early 20th century), prominent Azerbaijani intellectuals had expressed certain opinions and made assumptions about the native language, and the linguistic processes taking place in Azerbaijan. However, the official declaration of the Turkish language as the state language on June 27, 1918, just a month after the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, was the result of the direct influence of the national ideology defined in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
The National Hero of Azerbaijan Chingiz Mustafayev
Chingiz Fuad oglu Mustafayev was born on August 29, 1960, in the village of Kapustin-Yar in the Vladimir district of the Astrakhan region. In 1964, he moved to Baku with his family. Initially, Chingiz Mustafayev studied at the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum, but he left and continued his education at School No. 167 in the Yasamal district, which he graduated from in 1977. That same year, he enrolled in the Azerbaijan Medical Institute, which he successfully completed in 1983. After finishing his studies, Ch. Mustafayev worked as a doctor in the Shabran district for three years, then was appointed as the chief physician of the dormitory at the Engineering and Construction Institute.
People's Poet of Azerbaijan, Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh
Bakhtiyar Mahmud oghlu Vahabzadeh was born on August 16, 1925, in the city of Shaki to a working-class family. In 1934, he moved to Baku with his family. After completing his secondary education there, he enrolled in the Philology Department of Azerbaijan State University in 1942. He graduated from the university in 1947. He continued his education in postgraduate studies, completing them in 1950. In 1951, he defended his candidate dissertation on "The Lyrics of Samad Vurghun," and in 1964, his doctoral dissertation on "The Life and Work of Samad Vurghun."
