Khanlar S. Mamedov was born in 1945 in Baku where he received his master of arts. His work has been exhibited in Spain and many of his paintings are in private collections in Switzerland, Spain, France, Poland, USA. The nature of his work in landscape, still life and portraits using a variety of distinctive styles which has made him one of the most well-known artists in Azerbaijan.
