This monograph was written in response to large-scale disinformation campaigns carried out in the media by the Armenian leadership and the Armenian diaspora following Azerbaijan’s victory over Armenia in 2020. This victory fundamentally altered the balance of power in the region and, through the local operations conducted between 2020 and 2023, as well as the anti-terror measures of September 19–20, led to the full restoration of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty. Following these developments, widespread disinformation campaigns emerged in the media. In particular, against the backdrop of Azerbaijan hosting COP29 in 2024, systematic attempts to promote allegations of “ethnic cleansing” against the country have attracted attention. The main objective of this monograph is to examine these claims not from an emotional perspective, but on the basis of scientific and methodological approaches, and to provide consistent, fact-based responses to them.
