A virtual book exhibition titled “August 1 – Day of the Azerbaijani Alphabet and the Azerbaijani Language” has been prepared by the Presidential Library and made available to the public.

The exhibition features research conducted in the main branches of linguistics, including syntax, lexicology, terminology, dialectology, and onomastics. In addition, the exhibition showcases publications related to the application of the Azerbaijani language in academic and professional environments, speech culture, rhetoric, and the functionality of the language in a multicultural context.

One section of the exhibition is devoted to scientific studies and collections reflecting the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s views on the Azerbaijani language and language policy.

The materials include textbooks, methodological guides, and monographs intended for both pedagogical and scientific audiences. Alongside language teaching materials designed for foreigners, the exhibition also presents publications highlighting the relationship between language and culture, as well as the functional capacities of the Azerbaijani language in the context of globalization.

Books written by the director of the Presidential Library, Doctor of Philology and Professor Afet Abbasova, were also presented at the exhibition.

The virtual exhibition is intended for both researchers and a wide audience interested in the native language. The assembled books provide opportunities for a deeper exploration of the Azerbaijani language’s role in science, education, and culture.
