Magsud Ibrahimbeyov, is a prominent figure in Azerbaijan’s literary scene, known for his shining talent and significant contributions to enriching the country’s artistic thought. Throughout the 1960s, he actively participated in shaping the emerging literary trends, skillfully revealing the depth of his characters and creating vibrant and colorful images in his valuable prose examples. As a playwright, screenwriter, and director, he has played a crucial role in the development of Azerbaijani cinema. His portrayal of national colours, commitment to customs and traditions, and especially his unique depiction of the Baku environment are key aspects that define Magsud Ibrahimbeyov’s creative work. Many of his works have been adapted for the screen in various film studios both in Azerbaijan and beyond, while his plays have been staged in 50 theaters. A virtual exhibition in the Presidential Library showcases the life and works of the distinguished writer and bright personality, Magsud Ibrahimbeyov.
