June 1 marks International Children's Day, which was first celebrated in 1950. The idea for establishing this day was put forth at the "International Women's Conference" convened by the United Nations. During the event, important proposals were made to protect children's rights and ensure their upbringing in a healthy and safe environment. Conference participants decided to dedicate June 1 to the international protection of children, and since that date, the day has been observed with particular significance in countries worldwide. Children represent the most vulnerable yet most valuable segment of society. Their development into healthy, educated, patriotic, and morally grounded individuals is considered a fundamental guarantee for the future of any state. Consequently, the protection of children's rights, including their rights to education, healthy living, safe upbringing, and social security, remains a constant focus for the global community. International Children's Day is widely celebrated in Azerbaijan every year. The state implements significant measures to improve children's welfare and protect their rights and freedoms. Providing children with quality education, safeguarding their health, strengthening their social protection, organizing their leisure time effectively, and nurturing them in the spirit of national and moral values are among the priority directions of state policy. Specifically, consistent projects and programs are undertaken to protect children who require special care, facilitate their integration into society, and foster their comprehensive development. This virtual exhibition, organized on the occasion of June 1st, features a collection of books, publications, and resources on children's rights, upbringing, psychological and moral development, and themes of love and care for children. The exhibition aims to highlight the significance of children in society, promote the importance of their protection, and familiarize readers with literature on this subject.
