The 19th-century German writer and poet Fritz Reuter's "Hanne Nüte un de lütte Pudel" ("Hanne Nüte and the Little Poodle") was published in Wismar in 1880 in German. The work is a poetic narrative of rural life, depicting the customs, manners, human relations, and daily life of northern German inhabitants. The book combines humor, lyrical episodes, and realistic sketches of folk life characteristic of Fritz Reuter's work. This edition is an important example of 19th-century Low German literature and Fritz Reuter's literary heritage.
