The advisor to the director of the Presidential Library and a PhD in history, Nazim Mustafa, has published an article titled "The Armenian Forgery of the Blue Mosque" in the July 6, 2025, issue of "Khalg Gazeti" newspaper.

The author states that today, Armenians present the historical Azerbaijani city of Iravan as an ancient Armenian city. Yet they can only point to the Blue Mosque and no other historical or architectural monument that is over 250 years old, because over time, they have erased all the others from existence.

The article notes that the Blue Mosque was built by Huseynali Khan Qajar, the Khan of Iravan, between 1770 and 1776, and that all travelers and historians who visited the city provided detailed information about this mosque.

Armenians, who falsify the history of Western Azerbaijan, are attempting to present the Blue Mosque as a "Persian mosque" or as "Iran's material heritage." This article exposes the Armenian fabrications based on documents and facts.
