The tradition of meeting with prominent scholars continues at the Presidential Library.

Renowned scientist in the field of quantum mechanics, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor Rauf Jafarov, visited the Presidential Library, where he became acquainted with the ongoing activities and donated his newly published books to the Library's collection.

Rauf Jafarov is a professor at the Department of Theoretical Physics at Baku State University and continues his research at the University’s Institute for Physical Problems. He has extensive connections with scientific centers in various countries, including the USA, Brazil, Japan, China, Russia, Georgia, and Iran. Professor Jafarov is a member of the editorial boards of several magazines published abroad. He is the author of two monographs, two textbooks, and over 70 scientific articles.

One of the books presented by the professor to the Presidential Library is titled “Quantum Mechanics” (Baku, 2025). The book discusses the physical conditions that led to the emergence of quantum mechanics and explains the postulates of the theory, along with examining fundamental issues within the field. This textbook is intended for use by undergraduate and graduate students in the faculties of physics and mathematics, as well as by doctoral candidates.

The book titled "Kvant mexanikası" has been translated into English. The author has donated the book, titled "Quantum Mechanics" (Baku, 2025), to the library.

Another book donated to our library by R. Jafarov is titled  “Интегральные уравнения в квантовой теории поля и проблема связанных состояний” (“Integral Equations in Quantum Field Theory and the Problem of Coupled States”) (Moscow, 2025). This monograph is dedicated to the theory of multi-particle equations in quantum field theory, reflecting its chronological development and application in the theory of elementary particles. The author has intended this book for physicists working primarily in theoretical high-energy physics, including teachers, doctoral students, and master's students.

The reports and summaries presented at the joint working seminar titled “IPM: Emergency Events in Nature and Their Scientific Description,” held by the decision of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and with the support of Professor Rauf Jafarov, have been donated to the Presidential Library by the professor in the form of a published book.

The prominent scholar has also provided the Library with electronic versions of the books listed above.

The director of the Presidential Library, Professor Afet Abbasova, expressed gratitude to Professor Rauf Jafarov for enriching the library's collection with his books and wished him success in his academic endeavors.
