A new virtual collection dedicated to the work of Sabir Rustamkhanli, People’s Poet of Azerbaijan, has been presented in the “Literary Heritage” subsection of the “Collections” section of the Presidential Library. The project has been prepared with the aim of systematically presenting the poet’s literary heritage and multifaceted public and social activity, as well as making the principal aspects of his creative legacy accessible to a broad readership.
Occupying a distinctive place in modern Azerbaijani literary and public thought, Sabir Rustamkhanli is recognized as one of the prominent literary figures who, over the past half century, has played an important role in the formation of national consciousness, the development of poetry inspired by the spirit of independence, and the emergence of civic journalism. He is distinguished not only as a poet but also as a literary scholar, publicist, and public figure through his wide-ranging activity.
