Research Scientist Latif Gasimov Donates Books to the Presidential Library

Meetings with scholars, intellectuals, and public figures have become a tradition at the Presidential Library. Latif Gasimov, PhD in Agricultural Sciences and research scientist, was a guest at the Library and donated a total of 40 copies of four scientific works authored by him.

Latif Gasimov’s scholarly activity is primarily focused on the field of soil science. He has conducted research on modeling soil fertility in Azerbaijan’s humid subtropical zones, investigating soil cover, and developing scientific foundations for the management of agricultural lands. He has continued his academic and research work in soil science, participating in large-scale soil studies as well as practical projects.

Among the publications donated to the Library is the monograph "Scientific Principles and Practical Aspects of Soil Resource Management: The Case of the Lankaran Lowland", published in 2025. Also included are two monographs published in 2017: "The Role of Natural and Anthropogenic Factors in the Formation of the Soil Cover Structure of the Lankaran Lowland" and "Characteristic Features of the Soil Cover of the Lankaran Lowland." Furthermore, the 2007 publication "Fertility Models of Soils under Subtropical Fruit Crops in the Humid Subtropics of Azerbaijan" was part of the donation.

These scientific works are valuable sources for understanding Azerbaijan’s agricultural science, soil resources, and ecological conditions. They also serve as useful practical materials for studying local soil-landscape types. The books are a significant resource for researchers and specialists.

The Director of the Presidential Library, Professor Afet Abbasova, expressed gratitude to Latif Gasimov for his valuable scientific contribution and wished him continued success in his work and future academic endeavors.
