On August 8, 2025, in Khankendi, a presentation ceremony for the book “Western Azerbaijan Heritage” was held within the framework of the 6th Summer Camp of Azerbaijani Diaspora Youth, dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”. The event was jointly organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
At the event, Nazim Mustafa, Advisor to the Director of the Presidential Library, Doctor of Philosophy in History, and Member of the Board of the Western Azerbaijan Community, spoke about the phased genocide and deportation policies carried out against our compatriots in Western Azerbaijan over the last 200 years.
Nazim Mustafa stated that the first Armenian state in history was established as a result of the resettlement and placement of Armenians in historical Azerbaijani territories. He also emphasized that the systematic destruction or appropriation of the material and cultural heritage belonging to Azerbaijanis was conducted in parallel.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Nazim Mustafa answered questions from the participants.
