An employee of the Presidential Library took part in the presentation of the book “Pambek County in the Second World War”
On 18 July 2025, the presentation of the book “Pambek County in World War II” by Lutfiyar Nasibov took place in the Western Azerbaijan Community.
Based on archival documents of the former USSR Ministry of Defence, the book systematically reflects the names of 1240 Azerbaijanis from 14 villages of Pambek County who participated in the battles of the Second World War. There is also information about 629 soldiers and officers who died during the war and about the battles in which they participated.
Nazim Mustafa, a member of the Executive Committee of the Western Azerbaijan Community, Advisor to the Director of the Presidential Library on Caucasian Studies, delivered a speech at the event. In his speech, he presented statistical data on Western Azerbaijanis who participated in World War II, as well as information about our compatriots contained in printed editions published in Armenia.
Nazim Mustafa informed that electronic versions of Lutfiyar Nasibov's books “Goycha Magal in World War II: Dead and Missing” (Baku, 2021) and “Agbaba-Shoragel in World War II: Dead and Missing” (Baku, 2021) were placed on the website of the Presidential Library and that in the near future the electronic version of the presented book will be placed there as well.
The author of the book L. Nasibov donated two copies of his recently published book to the Presidential Library.
