Students from the Faculty of Eastern and Western European Languages at Baku Slavic University are undergoing practical training at the Presidential Library of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the internship, students not only enhance their theoretical knowledge but also become familiar with the main operational areas of the library. They gain in-depth insights into the library's structure and the functions of various departments, participating in daily work processes that include user services, material organization and cataloging, as well as information and analytical activities.
Students also gain experience working with literature in their specialized languages available in the library collection, developing their language skills by applying them in practical environments, and learning to utilize existing resources more effectively.
Particular emphasis is placed on the application of modern digital technologies. Students work with computers, scanners, and specialized software, gaining in-depth knowledge about contemporary methods of information protection, processing, and presentation.
The Presidential Library not only provides interns with a conducive learning environment but also offers access to a rich collection of books, technical documents, and electronic resources. Participation in real work tasks helps establish a solid foundation for students to achieve success in their future professional careers.
