The beginning of a new stage of development, marked by the arrival of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to power in Azerbaijan on July 14, 1969, laid the foundation for the modern Azerbaijani state. The anniversary of this historical event is of special significance with the inclusion of the eighth volume of the multi-volume edition “Heydar Aliyev. Our independence is eternal” in the fund of the Presidential Library, which covers the rich political legacy of the National Leader.

This edition covers the period from June 23 to September 20, 1995, and includes speeches, statements, interviews, and other official documents related to the political and state activities of Heydar Aliyev.

Special attention in the book is paid to the principled and substantive speech at the meeting held after the coup attempts in March 1995. This speech detailed the key measures aimed at ensuring stability, as well as the key aspects of legal and political reforms of that period.
