A book about a round-the-world trip written by Farid Novruzi, a well-known businessman, architect, traveler and mountaineer, was donated to the Presidential Library of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Published in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages, the book tells the story of the author's extraordinary round-the-world trip, during which he travelled almost 60,000 kilometres without using an aeroplane, using only land and water vehicles, in 158 days.
The book vividly and spectacularly describes the difficulties the author encountered on his journey, which covered six continents and more than 40 countries, unexpected obstacles at borders, nights spent in empty and deserted hotels, and long journeys in lorries. The journey was also set against the backdrop of the difficulties created by a global pandemic and is remembered as a triumph of human will, determination and commitment.
Farid Novruzi drew attention to environmental and social issues during his journey and set out to reduce his carbon footprint by travelling the world without planes and thus encouraging interest in alternative forms of travel. His journeys carry deep meaning not only geographically but also spiritually.
It should be noted that Farid Novruzi has visited more than 100 countries as a traveler since 2010 and has conquered 27 high mountains. He also heads the Azerbaijan Beach Soccer Federation and is chairman of the board of the Azerbaijan Fashion Retail Association (AFRA).
This publication, donated to the Presidential Library, is a valuable source and inspirational work for both travelling enthusiasts and readers looking for motivation in various spheres of life.
