The Presidential Library has launched a virtual exhibition titled “Nakhchivan – an Ancient Turkic Land”

A virtual exhibition entitled “Nakhchivan – an Ancient Turkic Land”, dedicated to Nakhchivan—one of the ancient historical, geographical, and cultural regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan—has been launched at the Presidential Library. The virtual exhibition has been created on the basis of scholarly research and bibliographic publications that reflect Nakhchivan’s centuries-long historical development, cultural heritage and national and spiritual values.

The exhibition presents archaeological monuments, architectural examples and urban planning traditions of the Nakhchivan region, beginning with its earliest human settlements and extending through the ancient and medieval periods. These materials demonstrate that Nakhchivan evolved as one of the significant historical, cultural and civilizational centers in the history of Azerbaijan.

The virtual exhibition features materials related to archaeological monuments, architectural examples, and urban development traditions of Nakhchivan, covering the period from the earliest settlements to antiquity and the Middle Ages. In addition, the exhibition reflects the history of statehood traditions and governance systems.
