Azerbaijan National Library Donates New Publications to the Presidential Library
The Azerbaijan National Library has donated 34 copies of 17 book titles to the Presidential Library.
The publications cover a wide range of subjects, from Azerbaijani literature and literary studies to national music and culture, Turkological heritage, librarianship, law and issues of statehood. Notable titles include works on the life and work of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, Fikrat Goja and Seyid Azim Shirvani; the architectural legacy of Ajami Nakhchivani; Bahram Mansurov’s contribution to Azerbaijani musical culture; and the history and scholarly legacy of the First Turkological Congress.
The publications on librarianship and bibliography address such issues as official documents, the registration and preservation of library collections, and the withdrawal of outdated materials from library holdings. Alongside books on the Constitution and sovereignty, as well as various historical, literary and cultural subjects, the donated publications include four issues of the annotated bibliographic index “New Books”. These indexes enable the systematic tracking of bibliographic information on new publications, while the other books contribute to broadening knowledge in various fields and facilitate access to relevant literature.
Distinguished by their diversity of content and subject matter, these publications contribute to broadening readers’ knowledge of literature, culture, Turkological heritage, librarianship and statehood, familiarising them with new publications, and providing them with information essential for research and creative work.
