The Presidential Library contributed 25 copies of books from its Gift Fund to enrich the library collection of the Italy-Azerbaijan University, operating under the ADA University.
The Italy-Azerbaijan University was established on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Five leading Italian higher education institutions were involved in the implementation of this project: LUISS University, Politecnico di Milano (Polimi), Politecnico di Torino, Sapienza University of Rome, and the University of Bologna. For this purpose, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ADA University and these institutions to establish the Italy-Azerbaijan University and promote academic cooperation. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between the two nations by creating a new university focused on training specialists for Azerbaijan’s strategic economic sectors.
Within the framework of this university, which is an important indicator of educational and cultural collaboration between Azerbaijan and Italy, it is planned to put new educational institutions into operation. In particular, it is planned to open modern buildings that will house the School of Design and Architecture and the School of Agricultural and Food Sciences.
The publications presented by the Presidential Library include scientific and encyclopedic works covering such fields as art, architecture, soil science, agronomic sciences, entrepreneurship development and environmental management. These publications contribute to the enrichment of the Italy-Azerbaijan University’s academic and informational resources and to the creation of a comprehensive information environment for students and researchers.
