On the occasion of June 15 - National Salvation Day, the scientific conference titled “Heydar Aliyev: State Sovereignty and Constitutional Structure”, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Library, became the focus of attention for the country’s scientific, cultural, and library communities. The conference was attended by Afat Abbasova, Director of the Presidential Library, one of the nation’s leading cultural institutions.

The conference commenced with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in solemn remembrance of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. This was followed by the screening of a documentary film dedicated to the life and work of the Great Leader.

Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered a speech at the conference on the topic “Great Leader Heydar Aliyev: Constitution and State Sovereignty”.

In his address Polad Bulbuloghlu, Chairman of the Culture Committee of the National Assembly emphasized Heydar Aliyev’s particularly sensitive approach to culture and national values, noting that his political will guided Azerbaijan out of catastrophe toward stability and development.

At the conference, presentations were delivered by: academician Nizami Jafarov - Director of the Ataturk Cente, parliament members - Hikmat Babaoghlu, Aydin Mirzazadeh, Vugar Rahimzadeh, Mukhtar Naghiyev - Chairman of the YAP Sabail District Organization, Rashad Majid - Chairman of the Press Council, and Zaur Aliyev - Dean of the Law Faculty at Baku State University. In their remarks, they highlighted Heydar Aliyev’s sustained attention to education, library development, and his special focus on the National Library.
