The books “Ömrün səhifələrini vərəqləyərkən” (“Turning the Pages of Life”) and “The Republic of Azerbaijan in the United Nations Security Council 2012–2013”, authored by diplomat Aghshin Mehdiyev, have been donated to the Presidential Library.

The book “Turning the Pages of Life” examines the historical development of Azerbaijani diplomacy, the achievements attained in this field, as well as events and processes of particular social, historical, and geographical significance. Drawing upon the author’s travel notes, personal experiences, and reflections, the book examines historical developments, various stages of diplomatic engagement, and notable events witnessed firsthand by the author.

The publication “The Republic of Azerbaijan in the United Nations Security Council 2012-2013” provides a detailed account of Azerbaijan’s participation in the work of the United Nations Security Council during its tenure as a non-permanent member in 2012–2013. The publication includes speeches and statements by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations, and other senior officials, as well as reports and conceptual documents addressing specific issues on the Security Council’s agenda.

Both publications contain substantial material for studying the historical experience of Azerbaijani diplomacy, the country’s foreign policy activities, and various aspects of its participation in the international relations system. The books contribute to deepening knowledge in the fields of diplomacy and international relations, examining different stages of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy activities, and conducting academic research and educational work in these areas.
