On the 13th of June 2025, an event dedicated to the National Salvation Day was held at the Conference Hall of the Presidential Library.

The event commenced with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following this, participants paid their respects to the revered memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev with a moment of silence.

At the opening of the event, the director of the Presidential Library, Afet Abbasova, highlighted that June 15 – National Salvation Day, has been marked in history as the beginning of a phase in the salvation and development of Azerbaijani statehood. She emphasized that on this significant day in 1993, the return of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to power at the insistent demand of the people played a crucial role in preventing anarchy in the country and establishing stability.

During her speech, Afet Abbasova also mentioned that today the Presidential Library’s activities are based precisely on the national development strategy laid down by Heydar Aliyev, implementing important projects involving the application of modern technologies and the preservation of intellectual heritage.

At the event, the scientific secretary of the Presidential Library Anar Velizadeh, the head of the Library Automation, Digitization, and Electronic Resources Section Zakir Ismayilov, and the head of the Group of Translation of Electronic Publications Kamala Guliyeva also delivered speeches. During their presentations, they discussed the invaluable contributions of the National Leader to the modern state building process, the work done to study, popularize, and pass on his rich legacy to future generations, emphasizing that the ideas of Heydar Aliyev remain one of the main pillars guiding the development path of Azerbaijani society.

The event concluded with a video dedicated to the life and work of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, which sparked great interest among the participants.
