The Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has presented a substantial collection of scientific publications on folklore to the Presidential Library. The donation includes 44 books, comprising 22 different titles, covering various aspects of Azerbaijani and Turkic folklore, mythology, folk art, and oral literature traditions. Additionally, six issues of the scientific and literary journal "Dada Gorgud" were donated to the library.
Publications explore various aspects of Azerbaijani folklore, common mythological and ritual traditions of Turkic peoples, proverbs reflecting folk wisdom, epic creation, and the interrelationships between oral and written literature from a scholarly perspective. The donated publications also include studies dedicated to the functional-semantic features of folklore texts, urban folklore, intercultural literary relations, and cosmogonic and eschatological mythological concepts.
The presented publications enrich the Presidential Library's collection. These works hold particular significance as important scholarly resources for researchers and specialists in folklore studies, literary studies, history, and culture, as well as for a broad audience interested in these fields.
The Presidential Library expresses its gratitude to the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences for these publications, considering this initiative a significant contribution to the study, preservation, and promotion of national folklore heritage.
