The Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, and lasted 44 days, has become a significant chapter in Azerbaijani history, marked by heroism and pride. The victorious Azerbaijani Army restored the territorial integrity of our country and liberated the cities of Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Zangilan, and Gubadli, as well as several strategically important settlements, including Shusha, considered the pearl of Karabakh, from occupation. November 8 is the symbol of this magnificent Victory, and is celebrated with great reverence by our people as Victory Day.
On the occasion of this significant day, the Presidential Library has presented a virtual exhibition titled "November 8 - Victory Day" for public access. The virtual exhibition includes a chronology of the 44-day Patriotic War, publications reflecting the combat path of the Azerbaijani Army, books detailing the bravery of our heroic soldiers and officers, and materials on the military, diplomatic, and information struggle conducted during the war.
In addition, a book exhibition titled "Victory Day" has been organized in the Reading Room of the Presidential Library. This exhibition serves as a logical continuation of the virtual exposition, providing readers with the opportunity to become acquainted with publications dedicated to the Patriotic War, its political and historical significance, and the restoration and reconstruction processes underway in the liberated territories.
Through these exhibitions, the Presidential Library aims to contribute to the preservation of national memory, the strengthening of the spirit of patriotism, and the ideals of statehood by bringing the chronicle of the Patriotic War, the heroic legacy of our people, and the historic Victory of our victorious Army to a wide audience.
