Staff members of the Presidential Library visited the WUF13 Urban Expo organized within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku. During the visit, they explored projects and innovative urban development solutions presented at the national pavilions and exhibition stands of various countries.
It should be noted that the World Urban Forum (WUF) was established by the United Nations in 2001 to explore one of the most pressing challenges facing the modern world—rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, countries, climate change, and policymaking. Organized by UN-Habitat, the Forum serves as a high-level, open, and inclusive platform dedicated to addressing the challenges of sustainable urban development.
In connection with this prestigious event—an important indicator of Azerbaijan’s growing international standing, its active participation in global initiatives, and its modern vision for sustainable development—the Presidential Library has prepared an electronic information resource entitled “WUF13 Azerbaijan” within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture.” The “WUF13 Azerbaijan” project is available in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian. The multilingual presentation of the resource is of significant importance for informing the international audience and promoting Azerbaijan’s participation in the global urban development agenda.
