On October 20, 2025, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli”, a presentation was held for the book “Uzeyir Hajibeyli. Bibliography”, published jointly by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Library of Azerbaijan, as well as the electronic information database “Uzeyir Hajibeyli – 140”.

The event was also attended by the Director of the Presidential Library, Professor Afet Abbasova. Her participation in the ceremony is evidence of the special attention and support that the Presidential Library gives to projects aimed at studying and promoting national cultural heritage.

The ceremony began with an opening speech by the Director of the National Library of Azerbaijan, Professor Karim Tahirov. The event continued with presentations from the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Composers’ Union, People’s Artist Frangiz Alizadeh; Deputy Minister of Culture, People’s Artist Murad Huseynov; Deputy Chairman of the Culture Committee, Professor Gunay Efendiyeva; Rector of the National Conservatory, Professor Kamila Dadash-zadeh; Director of the Uzeyir Hajibeyli House Museum, People’s Artist Sardar Farajov; composer Eldar Mansurov; Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, Honoured Culture Worker Rashad Majid; Vice-Rector of the Baku Music Academy, Professor Gulnaz Abdullazadeh; Chief Conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra, People’s Artist Yalchin Adigezalov, as well as other prominent figures of science and culture.

The speakers emphasised the role of Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s creativity work in shaping Azerbaijani national music, as well as the importance of scientific and bibliographic documentation of his legacy.
