Volunteers of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation – students from Baku State University, the Azerbaijan Academy of Labour and Social Relations, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, the Azerbaijan Cooperation University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, ADA University and other higher education institutions – visited the Presidential Library.

During their tour of the Presidential Library, the students were informed about the Library’s activities, its main areas of work, collections, information and bibliographic services, and the organisation of reader services. They also learned about the development and preservation of the Library’s collections, how to access these resources, and opportunities to use modern information technologies.

The volunteers visited the Library’s Reading Room and other structural divisions and learned about its electronic information resources, digital projects, electronic library system and virtual exhibitions. They were also shown how to access and use the Library’s information resources and services. During the visit, the students became members of the Presidential Library.

As part of the visit, the students were introduced to the Presidential Library’s official website, preslib.az. They were shown the website’s main sections, electronic catalogue, e-books, electronic projects, bibliographic resources and virtual exhibitions, and were informed about how to access and use its electronic resources. The students gained a more comprehensive understanding of the Presidential Library’s activities, information resources and electronic services.
