The prominent poet Fikrat Goja, who brought a fresh breath of life to Azerbaijani literature and added new shades to our poetry in terms of subject matter and form, has gained the admiration of readers with his deeply social creative work. His works, rich in lyrical and philosophical generalizations, explore themes of humanity and time in an original style. He also made a significant contribution to the development of our national literature through his literary translations and songs written to his words.
Today, August 25, marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Azerbaijan's People's Poet Fikrat Goja. On this occasion, a virtual book exhibition titled "Fikrat Goja - 90," prepared by the Presidential Library, has been made available to the public.
The exhibition features a selected collection of Fikrat Goja's multi-volume works, a compilation of poetry published at various times, as well as materials related to his creative journey. The display also includes sources allowing for an evaluation of Fikrat Goja's poetry against the broader backdrop of literature. Particularly noteworthy among these sources are studies on the metrics and genre systems in Turkic-language literature, anthologies covering various periods of Azerbaijani poetry, and publications that summarize literature from the 1960s to 2010s. These sources provide clarity on both the poet's distinctive poetic style and the literary environment in which he created.
The virtual exhibition is intended for literary scholars, researchers, and a broad audience interested in the works of Fikrat Goja.
