The funds of the Presidential Library have been enriched with valuable publications related to the history of statehood, urban culture, and spiritual heritage of Azerbaijan. The Director of the State Flag Museum, PhD in History Konul Imamverdiyeva, presented two books written by her to the library – “Flag of Azerbaijan” and “From the History of Sufism in Azerbaijan (based on epigraphic monuments)”, as well as the book “Baku Boulevard” (the idea of which was by Konul Imamverdiyeva), published by the Seaside Boulevard Administration.

The monograph “Flag of Azerbaijan” thoroughly explores the formation of the country’s state symbol, traditions of flags of various states that existed in different eras, as well as historical foundations of symbols. The book also extensively covers the establishment of the State Flag Museum, its activities, and exhibition policy.

The photo album “Baku Boulevard” reflects the process of formation and the dynamics of development of the Seaside National Park. This publication, based on archival photo documents, illustrates through historical photos the stages of the boulevard’s development from the late 19th century to the present, urban planning changes, and its role as a public space.

The monograph “From the History of Sufism in Azerbaijan (based on epigraphic monuments)” published in the Russian language investigates the spread and activities of Sufism on the territory of Azerbaijan through the chronological sequence of epigraphic monuments. The research, based on extensive epigraphic material, scientifically grounds the geographical expansion and periods of activity of Sufi centers. Additionally, the monograph analyzes the political character of Sufism in the 19th century, especially in Northern Azerbaijan, and its transformation into an ideological support for the national liberation movement based on archival documents. This research work is an important source for understanding the mutual influence of religious-spiritual and socio-political processes.

The presentation of these publications to the Presidential Library not only carries special importance in increasing the thematic diversity of the collection, and in studying the national-cultural heritage on scientific basis, but also serves as a reliable and comprehensive source for researchers, students, and a wide readership.
