The director of the Caucasus History Center, Rizvan Huseynov, has donated a valuable book titled "Azerbaijan and Armenian Issue in the Caucasus" to the Presidential Library's collection.

The book explores the historical territories of Azerbaijan in the North Caucasus, relying on an extensive analysis of ancient manuscripts and various historical sources. The author references over 400 sources to present the region's development from ancient times through the Middle Ages and into later history. The research utilizes ancient Syrian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Georgian, Armenian, Arab, Muslim, Ottoman, Russian, European, and American sources, as well as archival documents and correspondence.

The research critically assesses the reliability of Armenian medieval sources by referencing the opinions of specialists in Armenian and Caucasian history. The author indicates that many sources have been distorted due to the addition of information in later periods or as a result of translations and transcriptions, making them unreliable for scholarly reference. Nevertheless, some Armenian and foreign scholars, research centers, and educational institutions continue to rely on these sources to shape perspectives on the region's history.

The book reveals the century-old strategies of Armenian propaganda, highlighting the ideological and historical approaches used to appropriate the cultural and historical heritage of other nations. The evidence and facts presented systematically refute false narratives regarding Azerbaijan's history and expose falsifications found in both medieval authors and other sources targeting Azerbaijan.

This publication serves as a valuable resource for the President Library's collection, playing an important role as a source for researchers and a broad readership in the objective and scientific study of Caucasian history.
