On May 1, 2018, the Presidential Library hosted the presentation of the new electronic project, "Ilham Aliyev: Electronic Collection" which highlights the life and activity of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Speaking at the event, the director of the library, Mayil Ahmadov, noted that the vast collection of documents accumulated over 15 years of President Ilham Aliyev’s activities—who has successfully continued the domestic and foreign policy of modern independent Azerbaijan, founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev—can only be made accessible to a broad audience through the application of the latest advancements in modern information technologies. This newly created project, designed with a simple search function, allows anyone to access its materials easily. Consisting of four chapters, the project not only provides the full text of press publications related to the President's activities but also includes bibliographic information.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Head of the Department of Public and Political Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Arastun Mehdiyev, emphasized that the newly presented project is closely linked to the contemporary life of modern Azerbaijan and serves as a comprehensive, systematic resource reflecting the country's dynamic development. In recent years, Azerbaijan has demonstrated remarkable progress across its socio-economic, political, and cultural spheres. The profound reforms undertaken have led to increasing political stability and socio-economic transformation, positively impacting public sentiment. Any researcher or expert seeking to study and assess various aspects of Azerbaijan's development must inevitably examine the essence of its state policy. In this regard, the key architect, initiator, and principal executor of these policies is President Ilham Aliyev. This makes the newly launched portal an invaluable resource, as it systematically documents all facets of the President's activities. Covering areas such as domestic and foreign policy, oil diplomacy, the non-oil sector, regional development, sports, culture, and education, the portal compiles all relevant materials in a structured, chronological order.
Arastun Mehdiyev expressed his confidence that, like the previous projects of the Presidential Library, this portal will also play a significant role in studying various aspects of the country's life.
