On February 25, 2010, an updated version of the full-text e-publication titled "The Tragedy of the 20th Century – Khojaly Genocide," as well as a DVD titled "Khojaly Genocide" prepared by the "Səs" Information Agency (SIA), was presented at the Presidential Library.
The event was attended by members of the Milli Majlis, historians, intellectuals, and leaders from various NGOs and media outlets. Before the ceremony, participants had the chance to explore books about the Khojaly genocide and the discs containing their electronic versions in the Library's Reading Room.
Following a one-minute silence in honor of the victims, the video titled "Khojaly Genocide" was presented.
The director of the Library, Mayil Ahmadov, spoke about the Khojaly genocide, one of the most horrific tragedies in the history of Azerbaijan. He mentioned that the library's digital publication, which has been active since 2007, had been updated, with the materials organized into six sections. These sections include a complete list of Khojaly martyrs, efforts made to raise awareness about the genocide, and articles published in both local and international media about the tragedy.
The Director General of SIA, Bahruz Guliyev, who spoke about the essence of the documentary chronicle dedicated to the Khojaly genocide, stated that the purpose of creating the disk was to revisit the truths of Khojaly and strengthen them in the public's memory.
The speakers presented materials to the participants regarding the events carried out under the international campaign "Justice for Khojaly," initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, the General Coordinator of the O.I.C Youth Forum for Intercultural Dialogue.
The speeches addressed the genocide policies that Armenians have carried out against the Azerbaijani people throughout history, including the horrors of the Khojaly massacre, which was an atrocity against humanity.
