In the digital project “Azerbaijan: State Symbols and Attributes”, prepared by the Presidential Library, the history of the formation of the state symbols of independent Azerbaijan — the flag, the coat of arms, and the anthem — is presented in a structured manner, and the steps taken towards the restoration of national symbols are displayed in chronological order. The digital resource compiles decisions, laws, decrees, and orders related to state symbols and attributes from the period of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic to the present day in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian, organizing them sequentially according to relevant historical periods. The project also includes materials on the flags of the Azerbaijani khanates, the coats of arms of governorates and cities existing in the territory of Azerbaijan during the Tsarist Russian period, as well as the state symbols and attributes of the Azerbaijan SSR during the Soviet era. The broad promotion of the essence and significance of state attributes contributes substantially to fostering respect among citizens for the national flag, coat of arms, and anthem, and to strengthening their sense of national identity and patriotism.
