Ağacoyma xəttatlığı örnəkləri [Seyfəddin Mənsimoğlu]

Ağacoyma xəttatlığı örnəkləri
Ancient Azerbaijani wood carving and calligraphy art, with its rich history and traditions, originates from the petroglyphs of Gobustan and Gamigaya. Pictograms and tamgas (seals) depicted in the petroglyphs are fossilized monuments of calligraphy art. In the East, within the Turkic-Muslim world, including Azerbaijan, various types of calligraphy were developed, evolving into one of the oldest art forms. Calligraphic art further developed onto paper. Working in this direction, Seyfaddin Masim oglu Mammadaliyev transformed the art of "wood carving calligraphy" into a special form of decorative and applied art, creating figures and various tools. Thus, he introduced innovative elements into wood carving and calligraphy art, establishing the direction of "carved calligraphy on wood." The book features articles dedicated to the life and work of the Honored Artist Seyfaddin Mansimoglu, who elevated Azerbaijani wood carving calligraphy art from a simple craft to the level of fine art. The publication also includes photographs of his original works.
