Azerbaijani Carpets: Iravan Group The carpets woven in the Iravan Khanate, the first independent Azerbaijani state in Western Azerbaijan, were once renowned worldwide. Over time, the Iravan carpet-weaving school examples were transported to foreign countries and became part of the wealth of Armenian collectors... The book is dedicated to the Iravangroup as part of the large project titled "Azerbaijani Carpets with All Schools." It explores the history of the Iravanregion, which is Azerbaijani land (present-day Armenia), and discusses the characteristics and craftsmanship of the Iravangroup carpets. The book presents images and descriptions of 102 rare carpets from the Iravangroup, primarily covering the 19th-20th centuries, which are preserved in a private collection in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The patterns, color harmony, and semantics of each carpet featured in the book, along with people’s philosophical perspectives on their environment and development, firmly reflect the reality of Azerbaijan.
