The tar is a musical instrument that has had a huge influence on the development of Azerbaijani folk musical culture, the national genre of mugham, and the development of professional classical music. The tar played an important role in the development of the musical culture of the peoples living in the 9th-10th centuries not only in the East, but also in Central Asia.
