Her work occupies a special place among the valuable examples of Azerbaijani literature. The last heir of the Garabagh Khanate, the Khan's daughter Natavan, drew her poetic inspiration from the fascinating nature of her native Garabagh. In her works, rich with delicate emotions, she glorified high values such as love, loyalty, spiritual purity, philanthropy, and patriotism. Successfully continuing the Eastern poetic traditions, the poetess created a rich heritage distinguished by its gentle lyricism, high artistic style, and sincerity. Alongside her literary activity, Khurshidbanu Natavan gained great fame for her extensive philanthropic work, the landscaping of the city of Shusha, the revitalization of its cultural life, and her efforts toward the development of education. The charity projects she initiated served the well-being of the people, and her humanism, nobility, and compassion made her one of the figures who won the nation's deep love.
