To serve the state and its citizens, to carry out one’s duties and exercise authority in accordance with the law, to strengthen public trust and confidence in the state and public service through one’s work, and to set an example for the younger generation through one’s behavior and actions — all of this enriches a person spiritually. The success of each civil servant is the success of our entire state. As the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated: "…Serving in the civil service of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan is a great honor for every individual. It means that this citizen has been entrusted with the opportunity to stand at the forefront of building an independent, democratic state and civil society. Every person must understand that being in public service is not a privilege, but a responsibility — a chance to serve the people. Regardless of the level or significance of the position held, a civil servant must always remember that he is a servant of the people, and that his main task is to serve the public and to live with their concerns".
