September 27 – An Eternal Mark in the History of the Motherland

September 27 is commemorated as Remembrance Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan. This date marks the start of the Patriotic War on September 27, 2020, and represents a crucial stage in the struggle to restore Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. The Patriotic War, which lasted 44 days, demonstrated to the entire world the Azerbaijani people's national solidarity, the combat capability of the Azerbaijani Army, and our soldiers' and officers' high sense of responsibility before the Motherland. The virtual exhibition titled "September 27 – An Eternal Mark in the History of the Motherland," prepared by the Presidential Library, covers extensive information about the history and course of the Patriotic War, the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, the heroism demonstrated by the Azerbaijani Army in military operations, and the unity and solidarity displayed by our people. The virtual exhibition showcases books on the Patriotic War, martyrs and veterans, liberated cities and regions, the course of military operations, and the post-war period. Special attention is focused on publications dedicated to the life and combat paths of the martyrs who lost their lives for the Motherland. These materials help keep the martyrs' memory alive, document their heroism, and pass it on to future generations. The exhibition features publications that reflect the socio-political and moral significance of Azerbaijan's historic Victory, along with books dedicated to individual heroes of the Patriotic War, military units, combat zones, and the memory of martyrs. The main purpose of the virtual exhibition is to highlight the essence and historical significance of September 27 – Remembrance Day, keep the martyrs' memory alive, and pass on their example of heroism to future generations. At the same time, the exhibition is important for studying a crucial stage of Azerbaijan's modern history and for promoting information resources related to this period in the electronic environment.
