New publications dedicated to the 80th anniversary and extensive scholarly career of renowned folklorist, Honoured Cultural Worker and Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Elkhan Mammadli have been added to the Presidential Library collection.
One of the new publications is the book “His Works in History, His Legacy in Memories...”. The book was compiled, edited and prepared for publication by Eldar Huseynguluoghlu, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor. The publication includes materials from events held to mark the 80th anniversary of the distinguished folklorist, his scholarly articles and interviews on Ashiq art, as well as memoirs written about him.
Another publication added to the Presidential Library collection is “Memoirs, Interviews, Speeches” by folklorist and publicist Ali Shamil. Published under the editorship of Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Kamala Ismayilova, the book brings together conversations with Elkhan Mammadli, articles on his life and scholarly activities, as well as speeches delivered at events marking his anniversary.
These publications reflect the scholarly legacy of Elkhan Mammadli, who headed the Department of Ashiq Creativity at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS for many years, as well as his contributions to the development and promotion of Ashiq art. They constitute a valuable resource for researchers, folklorists and a broad readership.
