On February 2, 2026, a meeting took place at the Presidential Library with Khanim Aydin, a young writer, translator, and member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, in celebration of the Day of Azerbaijani Youth.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, Professor Afet Abbasova, Director of the Presidential Library, highlighted that National Leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation of our country's youth policy, and this strategic approach is now being successfully continued and expanded by President Ilham Aliyev. She noted that the great leader always expressed trust in young people, and today, thanks to this support, Azerbaijani youth have made significant achievements in both science and creativity. The professor also emphasized that promoting the intellectual and creative potential of the younger generation and providing ample opportunities for them to showcase their talents remain key priorities of our state.
Following her speech, a video dedicated to the Day of Azerbaijani Youth was shown.
A virtual exhibition prepared by the Presidential Library on the occasion of the Day of Azerbaijani Youth was also presented as part of the event.
Speakers at the event, including Poet, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, and Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council Rashad Majid, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor, writer and publicist Sharaf Jalilli, Editor-in-Chief of "Azerbaijan" magazine Intigam Gasimzadeh, Chairman of the Youth Council of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union Farid Huseyn, Editor-in-Chief of "Kaspi" newspaper Ilham Guliyev, writer, Editor-in-Chief of "Olaylar" (“Events”) information agency Yunus Oghuz, poet, Editor-in-Chief of "Ulduz" ("Star") magazine Gulu Aghsas, Honored Journalist Zemfira Maharramli, poet, founder of "Yada düşdü" (“I remember”) magazine Nazakat Mammadova, writer, Editor-in-Chief of "Gobustan" magazine Parvin Nuraliyeva, Director of the Firidun Bey Kocharli Republican Children's Library Shahla Gambarova, Journalist, author and host of the TV program “Xəzərin sahilində” ("On the Shore of the Caspian Sea") Fakhriyya Lilpar, and Professor, General Director of the Institute of Botany of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sayyara Ibadullayeva, discussed the successes of the country’s youth policy. They emphasized that Azerbaijani youth today feel recognized and supported by the state in their activities, and this environment greatly encourages talented young individuals like Khanim Aydin to realize their potential.
Later, a video highlighting Khanim Aydin’s creative journey and literary work was presented.
At the end of the meeting, Khanim Aydin expressed her gratitude to the organizers and guests for the attention shown to her work.
