New Publications Added to the Presidential Library Collection

New textbooks and study guides covering various fields of study and intended for university students, researchers and specialists have been added to the Presidential Library collection. The new publications cover the fields of economics, management, accounting, linguistics, mathematics and engineering.

Among the publications on economics and finance, of particular note is the study guide “Digital Finance”, authored by Professor Saleh Mammadov. The publication provides a detailed analysis of digital transformation in financial management, blockchain technology, digital currencies and modern financial technologies.

Alongside these publications, new textbooks and study guides prepared by staff members of Azerbaijan Technological University have also been added to the Library’s collection. The textbook “Accounting”, co-authored by Doctors of Philosophy in Economics and Associate Professors Minura Karimova and Fazil Karimov, provides a comprehensive discussion of the theoretical foundations and methodological principles of accounting, the system of accounts, the principle of double-entry bookkeeping, accounting for assets and liabilities, as well as the preparation of tax and financial statements.
  
In the field of economics and management, another important resource is the three-volume study guide “Career Planning”. The first volume was prepared by Doctors of Philosophy in Economics Fazil Karimov and Khayyam Javadzade, also Senior Lecturers at the Department of Economics of Azerbaijan Technological University Sevinj Babakishiyeva and Irada Karimova; the second volume was co-authored by Professor Natig Javadov, Doctors of Philosophy in Economics Minura Karimova and Surayya Ismayilova, and doctoral student Seymur Mammadov; while the third volume was prepared by Doctors of Philosophy in Economics Minura Karimova and Khatira Gurbanova, and doctoral student Aysun Mammadova. The study guide provides a systematic analysis of the concept of career in the modern labour market, the principles of career planning, motivation, adaptation, leadership and professional development, and includes tests and practical exercises designed to enhance students’ practical skills.

Another publication, “Integrated Language Skills for Higher Education” by Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Sevinj Hasanova, is dedicated to the integrated teaching of English in an academic setting at CEFR B1 level. The publication places particular emphasis on developing reading, listening, speaking, academic writing and critical thinking skills.

The new additions also include study guides in the exact and technical sciences prepared and published at Mingachevir State University. The study guide “Technical Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer”, authored by Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Sciences Kamala Eyyubova, covers thermal processes, energy transformations and the fundamentals of thermal engineering.

Designed for undergraduate students enrolled in non-mathematical, pedagogical and engineering programmes, the study guide “Mathematical Analysis” by Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Rovshan Babayev presents the theoretical foundations of the subject, worked examples and practical exercises. The publication “Geometric Transformations in the Plane”, jointly authored by Aygun Orujova, Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Rovshan Babayev and Tofig Orujov, examines the theory of transformations in plane geometry. The study guide “Problems and Examples in the Theory of Functions of a Complex Variable” focuses on the practical application of theoretical knowledge in complex analysis and methods of problem-solving.

The new study guides, which serve as important resources for teaching and learning as well as academic research, are available for consultation at the Presidential Library.
