On 8 December 2025, the Presidential Library hosted the presentation of the monograph “Missiya” (“Mission”) by the distinguished philologist, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Mahira Huseynova. The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in honor of the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The event was opened with a welcome address by the Director of the Presidential Library, Professor Afet Abbasova. In her remarks, she emphasized the significance of the book within Azerbaijan’s scientific and cultural landscape, highlighting the author’s extensive scholarly work and her valuable contributions to the development of the Azerbaijani language.

The author of the book, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Professor Mahira Huseynova, spoke about the conceptual foundations, research methods, and purpose of the work. She noted that “Mission” offers an in-depth study of the legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who devoted his life and service to strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence, shaping national statehood, and fostering the spiritual and cultural revival of the people. The book provides a systematic analysis of Heydar Aliyev’s life path, his statecraft, and his contributions to science, education, culture, and language policy.
    
Approaching the subject through the prism of literature and linguistics, the monograph presents Heydar Aliyev’s initiatives for the development of the Azerbaijani language, its elevation to the status of a state language, the preservation of literature and culture, and the advancement of national identity and education within a scholarly and historical context. The book also serves as a valuable contribution to contemporary discussions on national enlightenment, statehood, and the safeguarding of cultural heritage.

The presentation ceremony was attended by intellectuals, scholars, as well as representatives of the state and the public. The speeches highlighted the scholarly significance of the book, the way the strategic role of the National Leader is reflected in the work, and the importance of his ideals for present and future generations.

At the end of the event, Professor Mahira Huseynova presented her books “Point of View: Heydar Aliyev and Strategic Azerbaijani Identity,” “Heydar Aliyev and the Concept of Development of the Azerbaijani Language,” and “The National Leader’s Literature Strategy” to the Presidential Library.
