The Presidential Library Begins Implementing Artificial Intelligence

At the meeting dedicated to the Unified Action Plan on “Azerbaijan’s New Digital Architecture”, held on February 11, 2026, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the priority directions of the country’s digital transformation were defined. During the meeting, the Head of State particularly emphasized the necessity of the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in the activities of governmental institutions.

Following this strategic approach, the Presidential Library is initiating the application of artificial intelligence technologies in its operations. At the initial stage, this innovation will be implemented within the library’s virtual collection “Literary Heritage” and will constitute the first step towards deploying AI-based solutions on the Library’s digital platforms.

In accordance with the prospective development plan, the application of artificial intelligence technologies will be carried out gradually, with a progressive expansion of application areas. In the future, this innovative approach is expected to encompass the Rare Books Collection, the Art Books Collection and other areas of the Library’s activities.

The Presidential Library intends to systematically integrate artificial intelligence technologies across its various activities. This approach will not only make the Library’s informational products more engaging and accessible but will also create a valuable experience in the application of digital technologies within Azerbaijan’s cultural and educational institutions, contributing to a modern and effective presentation of the national intellectual heritage.
