The 44-day war for the liberation of our lands from Armenian occupation ended with our victory in the autumn of 2020. The occupied part of the Fuzuli district was liberated due to the courage and heroism of our soldiers and officers, at the cost of the blood of martyrs. In order to perpetuate our historic victory in the Patriotic War, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed an Order “On the establishment of days of cities in the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation” on July 31, 2023. According to this Order, it was decided to annually celebrate October 17 as “Fuzuli City Day”. Due to the care and attention of President Ilham Aliyev, the destroyed city of Fuzuli and the Fuzuli district, vandalized by Armenians, are being restored and improved, with the residents of Fuzuli returning to their homeland.
The “Fuzuli” electronic project, prepared by the staff of the Presidential Library, is an electronic collection that provides general information about the Fuzuli district, which is part of the Karabakh Economic District, photos of our historical, cultural, and religious monuments destroyed during the 30-year Armenian occupation, selected materials on the Great Return and extensive restoration and reconstruction efforts carried out after de-occupation.
