The book presents the results of the study of architectural structure of Absheron settle- ments and the architectural assessment of 71 mosques, 55 bath-houses, more than 15 mausoleums, 10 ovdans, Mardakan palaces, as well as well-known villas of Murtuza Mukhtarov, Shamsi Asadullaev, Teymurbey Ashurbeyov, Kerbalayi Israfil Hajiyev, Taghibey Safaraliev, Mammadbey Khanlarov and others. The value of these significant architectural and planning materials collected in the course of long research work lies upon the foundation of typological classification of cult buildings, bath-houses, ovdans, mausoleums and villas, as well as upon the introduction of a monographical research which to some extent will complete the existing gap in the townbuilding and architecture of Azerbaijan.
