Устройство декоративных садов на открытом воздухе
The aim of the Classics of Garden and Park Art series is to acquaint readers with the finest works of earlier generations of horticulturists, whose writings have retained their relevance and cultural significance to the present day. The series opens with L. T. Luchinsky’s the Design of Outdoor Ornamental Gardens, first published in 1891 and unique in its own way. Written by one of the founders of the renowned Penza school of horticulture, the book effectively serves as a practical instructional guide. It offers both a systematic exposition of the fundamental principles of landscape garden design and practical advice on their implementation and maintenance. The volume addresses all the principal concerns of landscape design: from the evaluation of site conditions to the planning and construction of water features, flower beds, and tree plantings; from the selection of harmonious color combinations in garden compositions to the choice of appropriate stylistic solutions. The modern edition is supplemented with a historical and cultural essay, as well as scholarly commentary. The book is intended for both experienced and aspiring landscape designers, as well as for all those interested in the history of horticulture.
