Four brochures on the history of Iravan khanate was presented at the Azerbaijani Presidential Library on November 24.

The publications were translated into Russian and English languages. The event was organized by the Institute of History of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, Presidential Library and the Public Union "Historians of Azerbaijan" (ATIB). Funded by the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic, the brochures were published by the ATIB. The project manager and scientific editor of the publication is laureate of State Prize, ANAS corresponding member, MP Yagub Makhmudov, technical editor- PhD Mekhri Khanbabayeva. "The Iravan Khanate: Khan's Palace wiped out by Armenian vandals" and "The Iravan Khanate: Mosques of Iravan obliterated by Armenian vandals" were written by historian Nazim Mustafa.
The brochures «The Iravan Khanate: Iravan Fortress - the Fortress of Heroism" and “Rulers of Chukhursad and Khans of Iravan” were written by historian Guntekin Najafli. In his speech, Makhmudov said that the modern Armenia is located on territory of Azerbaijan's Iravan khanate.
“After moving to Azerbaijani lands, Armenian vandals destroyed hundreds of unique architectural gems. More than 300 mosque, minarets, tombs, worship places had been left under ruins", he said. “The Iravan Khanate: Mosques of Iravan obliterated by Armenian vandals” tells the bitter fate of a mosque belonging to the Azerbaijani people destroyed by Armenians. Next brochure, "The Iravan Khanate: Khan's Palace wiped out by Armenian vandals" once again proves that Armenia doesn't has any historical monument on its territory. "The Iravan Khanate: Iravan Fortress - the Fortress of Heroism” was published in memory of fortress' defenders. "Rulers of Chukhursad and Khans of Iravan" proves with the facts that Chukhursad was Azerbaijani province.

The conference called for the increase of public awareness about the historical truth.
