Presentation of the publication
On February 20, 2024, the presentation of the publication "Map of the Caucasus Region - Tiflis, 1847" was held in the Presidential Library of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The publication was developed with the joint support of the Presidential Library, the Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC) and the Western Azerbaijan Community.
The project
Numerous electronic projects dedicated to the history, culture, economy and prominent personalities of Azerbaijan have been prepared in the Presidential Library of the President's Administrative Services Department. The next project of the library is about Western Azerbaijan, which is the historical territory of Azerbaijan.
Mass killings, genocides, repressions and deportations were realized against Azerbaijani people in 1905-1906, 1918-1920, 1930s, 1948-1953 and 1987-1991 in Western Azerbaijan, which has become a mono-ethnic Armenian state nowadays. The materials of the project "Western Azerbaijan. Electronic library " containing the history of the last two hundred years of Western Azerbaijan is presented to users in the form of encyclopedic information in 21 sections. The project comprises as well as material and culture samples destroyed by Armenian vandals, information about Azerbaijani toponyms subjected to genocide, archival documents, the Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan, maps, information about personalities, photo chronicle and filmography. The electronic library presents the texts of more than 300 books and more than a thousand articles included in the Library fund, a bibliographic description of over 400 books, over a thousand articles and 35 abstracts related to Western Azerbaijan.
The project was developed in Azerbaijani and Russian languages. The English version of the project is currently being worked on.

Event dedicated to memorial day of National Leader Heydar Aliyev
On December 12, 2023 an event was held in the Presidential Library on the occasion of the Memorial Day of the founder of independent Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev. First, the "Photo-exhibition" prepared by the staff of the Library was viewed. Later, the "Book exhibition" reflecting the life and activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was demonstrated. The updated version of the "Heydar Aliyev. Collection of electronic documents" was presented. Employees of the library visited the grave of reat leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, laid a wreath at the bust of the Great Leader, erected in the lobby of the Library and honored his memory with deep respect.
The electronic project “Kalbajar” is presented to users
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 31 July 2023 “On the establishment of city days in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the 25th of November is solemnly celebrated as Kalbajar City Day every year. The order aims to perpetuate the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War. And for this purpose, the electronic project “Kalbajar” was prepared by the staff of Presidential Library and presented to internet users. The project provides users with information about the last 30 years of Kalbajar’s painful history, official documents, selected articles concerning material and cultural monuments, large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in Kalbajar after its de-occupation, as well as e-books, bibliography and photo gallery.
The electronic project “Aghdam” is presented to users
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 31 July 2023 “On the establishment of city days in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the 20th of November is solemnly celebrated as Aghdam City Day every year. The order aims to perpetuate the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War. And for this purpose, the electronic project “Aghdam” was prepared by the staff of Presidential Library and presented to internet users. The project provides users with information about the last 30 years of Aghdam’s painful history, official documents, selected articles concerning material and cultural monuments, large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in Aghdam after its de-occupation, as well as e-books, bibliography and photo gallery.
Event dedicated to the Victory Day
On 7 November 2023, the Presidential Library held an event dedicated to Victory Day.
In 2020, Azerbaijan has written the brighest pages of the last 200 years of our country’s history – the Annals of Victory. The 44-day Patriotic War ended with a glorious victory and has been written in golden letters in our modern history. On September 27, 2020, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the brave Azerbaijani Army launched a counter-offensive to fight for the liberation of our ancient lands in response to the large-scale provocation of the invading Armenian armed forces and implemented the relevant UN resolutions. Given the importance of our historical victory, the Presidential Library staff prepared the “Shusha” and “Victory Day” projects. Both e-projects are updated regularly. The participants of the event shared their opinions on the historical significance of Victory Day and highlighted the importance of holding such events.
The library also organised a book exhibition dedicated to Victory Day.
The electronic project “Gubadli” is presented to internet users
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 31 July 2023 “On the establishment of city days in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the 25th of October is solemnly celebrated as Gubadli City Day every year. And for this purpose, the electronic project “Gubadli” was prepared by the staff of Presidential Library and presented to internet users. The project provides information about the last 30 years of Gubadli’s painful history, chronology of the region’s liberation from occupation, official documents, selected materials about cultural and religious monuments, large-scale restoration and construction works carried out after de-occupation, as well as bibliography and photo gallery.
The electronic project “Zangilan” is presented to internet users
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 31 July 2023 “On the establishment of city days in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the 20th of October is solemnly celebrated as Zangilan City Day every year. The order aims to perpetuate the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War. And for this purpose, the electronic project “Zangilan” was prepared by the staff of Presidential Library and presented to internet users. The project provides information about the last 30 years of Zangilan’s painful history, chronology of the region’s liberation from occupation, official documents, selected materials about cultural and religious monuments, large-scale restoration and construction works carried out after de-occupation, return of Zangilan residents to their native land, as well as bibliography and photo gallery.
“Fuzuli” electronic project is presented to users in the Presidential Library
On the solemn occasion of the commemoration of the annual celebration of 17 October as “Fuzuli City Day” according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the electronic project “Fuzuli” was presented in the Presidential Library on 17 October 2023. The project provides users with selected materials on historical, cultural and religious monuments of Fuzuli district, return of Fuzuli residents to their native land, large-scale restoration and reconstruction works carried out after de-occupation.
The electronic project “Jabrayil” was launched for use
The electronic project “Jabrayil” prepared by the staff of Presidential Library and presented to internet users on 4 October 2023 is an electronic collection of selected materials on the history of Jabrayil district, which is a part of the East Zangazur Economic Region, photos of our historical, cultural and religious monuments destroyed during the 30-year Armenian occupation, selected materials about large-scale restoration and construction works carried out after the de-occupation and the Great Return.
The e-project is updated regularly.
Presidential Library holds an event on the occasion of Remembrance Day
At the beginning of the event, there was a minute of silence to honor the memory of our soldiers and officers who struggled heroically for the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation, raised the Azerbaijani flag in our liberated lands, and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country.
The director of the library Mayil Ahmadov opened the commemoration ceremony and noted that starting from 2020, September 27 is annually observed as Remembrance Day in diplomatic corps and Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan and abroad. He informed that as a result of the 44-day war that continued in the fall of 2020, thanks to the heroism of our nearly three thousand martyrs, thousands of war veterans and soldiers, this date has gone down in history as the day of the beginning of our glorious Victory over the enemy. The destruction of several layers of military fortifications built by the Armenian army for 30 years by our heroic soldiers and officers in 44 days, forced Armenia to sign the act of capitulation. M. Ahmadov stated that as a result of the successful foreign and military construction policy of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, today Azerbaijan is among the most influential countries in the world.
Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, the department heads of the library Nazim Mustafayev and Zakir Ismailov noted that the memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland is honored with deep respect. Electronic resources dedicated to the Remembrance Day and Victory Day were compiled and presented to the library users.
An electronic project titled “Lachin” was launched by the Presidential Library
On August 23, 2023 the electronic project "Lachin"of the Presidential Library was launched. The project was prepared according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on celebration of “August 26- Lachin City Day”. The project presents selected materials on the history of Lachin district, historical-cultural and religious monuments of Lachin, large-scale restoration and construction works that took place after liberation from occupation.
Event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev
On May 8, 2023, a large photo and book exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in the Presidential Library of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The updated version of the "Heydar Aliyev. Collection of electronic documents" was presented at the event.
An electronic resource about Academician Zarifa Aliyeva has been prepared
On April 15, 2023, the presentation of the electronic resource “Zarifa Aliyeva” prepared by the Presidential Library staff in connection with the 100th anniversary of the outstanding scientist of Azerbaijan, Honored Scientist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Full Member of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, Zarifa Aziz gizi Aliyeva was held. In this electronic resource are widely available materials about the life and activity of Zarifa Aliyeva.
The electronic project “Zangazur” prepared by the staff of Presidential Library was presented to internet users
On December 23, 2022, internet users of the Presidential Library were presented the electronic resource “Zangazur” reflecting the rich historical past of the region of Zangazur, where Azerbaijanis have lived since ancient times, and the historical injustice against our people resulting from the transfer of the western part of Zangazur to Armenia in the early 20th century.
The electronic project “Shusha” prepared by the staff of Presidential Library was presented to internet users.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Azerbaijan’s ancient cultural centre from Armenian occupation, the presentation of the electronic project “Shusha” and a major photo exhibition dedicated to the city of Shusha was held at the Presidential Library on November 5, 2021.
Presidential Library staged photo and book exhibition on January 20 tragedy
On January 17, 2020, in connection with the 30th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy, opening of photo and book exhibition was held in Presidential Library. The updated version of the electronic resource 'January 20. Aggression 1990' prepared in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages was presented in the event as well.

On July 5, 2019, presentation of the electronic resource entitled 'Diplomacy of Azerbaijan' was held in Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the diplomacy of Azerbaijan.
Presentation of Yagub Mahmudov’s books published in foreign languages was held in Presidential Library
On February 6, 2019, the presentation of the books published in foreign languages authored by the Director of the Institute of History named after A. A. Bakikhanov of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Yagub Mahmudov was held in the Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The presentation ceremony was organized with the support of the Presidential Library and the Institute of History. At the same time, the exhibition of books published in foreign languages was staged in the conference hall of the Presidential Library. The books presented at the exhibition were donated to the Presidential Library.

Meeting to commemorate 94th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev
National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 94th anniversary was commemorated in the meeting held at the Conference Hall of Presidential Library. At first the participants took pictures in front of the bust of the national leader in Presidential Library.

Presidential Library hosted a presentation of a number of publications
On November 24, 2016, Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted a presentation of the books “The Iravan Khanate: Khan’s Palace wiped out by Armenian vandals”, “The Iravan Khanate: Mosques of Iravan obliterated by Armenian vandals”, “The Iravan Khanate: Iravan Fortress – the Fortress of Heroism” and “Rulers of Chukhursad and Khans of Iravan” written in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages.

Presentation of the book “Oil and gas reserves of Azerbaijan: transformation of one state into the regional energy hub”
On May 6, 2015, on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the founder of the oil strategy of Azerbaijan, the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth, the presentation of the book “Oil and gas reserves of Azerbaijan: transformation of one state into the regional energy hub” authored by Fazil Zeynalov, and published in French in the famous publishing house of Canada “Publibook”, was held in the conference hall of the Presidential Library.
Presentation of I. Munshi’s work "History of Abbas Adorning the World"
On February 9, 2015, the presentation of the Azerbaijani version of the work "History of Abbas Adorning the World" (Tarihi Alem Arayi Abbasi) authored by the distinguished historian, poet and calligrapher Iskender bey Munshi lived in the 16th century, took place in Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Book presentation
On February 7, 2014, the presentation of the 12-volume works of Yagub Mahmudov, director of ANAS Institute of History named after A. A. Bakikhanov, honoured scientist, State prize winner, corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), also the book titled “Real history and the “Great Armenia” fiction”, “Bibliographic index” of his works and historian Yegana Gozalova’s book titled “Yagub Mahmudov’s school in science of history” was held on the eve of Yagub Mahmudov’s 75th anniversary of birth in Presidential Library.

On June 28-29, 2013, there was held an international scientific and practical conference titled “Documentation and Information Provision for State Governance Departments: current status and development prospects” dedicated to 10th anniversary of establishment of the Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Presentation Ceremony of the Website Devoted to the history of the Town of Irevan
On May 17, 2013 a presentation ceremony of the www.iravan.info website devoted to the history of the town of Irevan was held in the Conference Hall of the Presidential Library.
Joint exhibition marking the 90th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s birth opened in the Presidential Library
On May 6, 2013, joint exhibition consisting of photographs and editions on the 90th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth opened by the Presidential Library and Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AzərTAc) at the foyer of the library.
Library and Information Faculty – 50 years

Private Library of scientist-historian Solmaz Gashgay had been gifted to Presidential Library
On July 5, 2012 a ceremony of gifting of private library owned by scientist-historian, notable specialist on ancient period of Azerbaijan history, Solmaz Gashgay to Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the Conference Hall of Presidential Library

On December 7, 2011, at the conference hall of the Presidential Library there was held a meeting between the employees of the library and Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor Abuzar Khalafov.

On September 14, 2011. Bakikhanov within National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and presentation of online versions of these publications prepared by the Presidential Library took place.
“Khojaly Genocide – the tragedy of the 20th century”
On February 25, 2010, in Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan the presentation of updated version of full-text online publication “Khojali Genocide – the tragedy of the 20th century” and the disk titled “Khojali Genocide” prepared by the news agency «Ses» (SİA) took place.

On January 18, 2010, the presentation of on-line resource titled “Aggression. Baku. January 20, 1990” prepared in Russian and English languages was held in a big reading hall of the Presidential Library.
“Heydar Aliyev – 40 years for the sake of Azerbaijan”
On July 14, 2009 on account of marking the 40th anniversary since the day of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev’s becoming the head of Azerbaijan a presentation of the multimedia disc named “Heydar Aliyev – 40 years for the sake of Azerbaijan” was held in the conference-hall of the Presidential Library.
Book presentation
On 5 May, 2009 on account of the 86th anniversary since the birthday of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev a book exhibition containing electron versions of the books prepared by the Military Procurator’s Office of the Azerbaijan Republic was organized in the conference hall of the Presidential Library.
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 85
On 22 April, 2009 the presentation of the Internet resource “Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 85” was held in the Presidential Library. The presentation participants familiarized themselves with the book exhibition dedicated to Nakhchivan and with the archival materials relevant to “Autonomy in historical documents”. They also got acquainted with the electron version of books concerned with Nakhchivan, prepared by the Library staff.
Book exhibition
On December 12, 2008 a large book exhibition was arranged in tribute to the memory of the National leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
Heydar Aliyev - 85
On May 7, 2008 in the Presidential Library the internet resourse “ Heydar Aliyev: Electronic collection of documents” prepared on account of the 85th anniversary of the birth of Azerbaijani National leader Heydar Aliyev was presented to users. During this event in the Presidential Library flowers were layed to the bust of the National leader, slides with photos reflecting various stages of his life were shown, exhibition of the books dedicated to the jubilee was presented.
Mir Jalal Pashayev – 100
22 April, 2008 in the Presidential Library on account of the 100th anniversary since the birthday of the distinguished scholar, literary critic, honoured scientist and writer Mir Jalal Pashayev, was dedicated to his memory. The guests were presented a new version of the electronic bibliographic index “Mir Jalal Pashayev – 100” prepared by the staff of the Library.
